Even though almost everyone in America includes pumpkin pie on their Thanksgiving menu, offering a non-traditional option can add just the right element of variety we need this year. Eating a plant-based diet has really forced me to go outside the lines in everyday eating and eliminate the rules. Holidays are no exception!

As the weather cools down I often reach for a warm cup of matcha! You may know that matcha is a form of green tea, but it is special because it’s the only form of green tea in which the entire leaf is consumed (as opposed to brewed tea bags which you steep then throw out the bag with the leaves).

Trick or (non-traditional) Treat!

Screen Shot 2021-03-22 at 8.40.56 AM.png

Giving kids huge amounts of unhealthy, sugar-filled sweets feels wrong on so many levels and the rebel in me won’t go for it!
