These vegan sloppy joes are a favorite for the whole family. You can make them in under 45 minutes and they will leave everyone fully satiated!

Vegan Sloppy Joes
Ingredients
- 3 cups cooked lentils
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 celery rib, chopped
- 2 garlic gloves, minced
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp tamari soy sauce
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
- 2 tsp Braggs vinegar
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp pink salt
- 1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions
- In a stock pot suite onion, garlic, celery and green pepper for about 10 minutes, adding water to the pan if it gets dry.
- Mix together the spices and add into the pot and stir a few times.
- Now add in the water, tamari, liquid smoke, tomato sauce, molasses, vinegar and cooked lentils.
- Simmer for 15 minutes until it thickens up.
- Serve on buns with coleslaw! (or try in a wrap!)
